One good pick, then go eat.
MakanDNA is a food decision tool built in Singapore by MadeByNeon. The project started as a small food-decider prototype in 2025 and has grown into a curated discovery product for real everyday decisions.
What MakanDNA is for
- Choosing somewhere to eat when nobody wants to decide.
- Finding a sensible option for the time of day, area, budget and craving.
- Discovering local places without turning the experience into a ranking contest.
- Helping people move from “where should we eat?” to “okay, let’s go.”
Singapore first, built to travel
The current product is focused on Singapore. The underlying structure is being built so future cities can use the same country → region → town → neighbourhood → venue model without hard-coding Singapore into the product.
The cat
The MakanDNA cat is our quiet decision buddy. It appears when the app is thinking, waiting or celebrating a result — personality without getting in the way of the food.

Is MakanDNA a quiz?
No. MakanDNA does not classify your food personality. It is designed to solve the everyday “what should I eat?” decision by narrowing practical options and giving you one place to try.
No personality test is required. MakanDNA starts with practical context — where, when, budget, cravings and optional halal status — then narrows the pool and makes one pick.
